Prof. Dr. Özgür SAĞLAM, Tekirdağ Namık Kemal Üniversitesi, Ziraat Fakültesi, Bitki Koruma Bölümü öğretim üyesidir.  1977 yılında Bolu’nun Mengen ilçesinde doğdu. İlk, orta ve lise öğrenimini Mengen’de tamamladıktan sonra, 1995 yılında Ankara Üniversitesi, Ziraat Fakültesi, Bitki Koruma Bölümü’ne kayıt yaptırdı ve 1999 yılında mezun oldu. 2000 yılında Trakya Üniversitesi, Tekirdağ Ziraat Fakültesi, Bitki Koruma Bölümü’nde Araştırma Görevlisi olarak göreve başladı. 2004 yılında Trakya Üniversitesi, Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü, Bitki Koruma Anabilim Dalı’nda Yüksek Lisans eğitimini tamamladı. 2005 yılında MASHAV bursu ile 1 ay İsrail’ de bulundu. 2005 yılında başladığı Doktora eğitiminin son yılında ERASMUS öğrenci değişim programı kapsamında 5 ay süre ile Yunanistan’da (University of Thessaly, Laboratory of Entomology and Agricultural Zoology, Department of Agriculture, Crop Production and Rural Environment Volos/Greece) Dr.Christos Athanssiou ile çalıştı. 2011 yılında Doktora eğitimini tamamladı. 21 Kasım 2012 tarihinde Ziraat Fakültesi Bitki Koruma Bölümüne Yard.Doç.Dr. olarak atandı. Aralık 2012-2013 tarihinleri arasında YÖK- Doktora sonrası Araştırma Bursu (Post. Doc.) kapsamında Kansas State Universitesi Entomoloji Bölümü-Manhattan-Kansas/Amerika’da, Prof.Dr. Thomas W. Phillips ile 1 yıl süre ile çalışarak Postdoc’unu tamamladı. 2017 yılında Doçent, 2023 yılında da Profesör ünvanı alan Özgür SAĞLAM evli ve Sıla adında kız çocuğu babasıdır.
